7 Weeks and Counting :0)

Casper Update!
Brad and I made the trek up to Aliston today to see the midwife. I wasn't feeling so good today so it was perfect timing. I never realized how much a baby moves around and how much their little feet and hands can poke around at your insides. Sure, everyone says how "uncomfortable" it is but man! I have to cut down on the sugar or something 'cause this baby is a disco dancing, salsa swinging machine.
Needless to say, the midwife reassured us that this is all normal and par for the course. She did say that the movements may get a little less as the baby grows. She pointed out that I still have 7 weeks left (as if I need the reminder).
Everything checked out perfect today. I asked how big she thought the baby was now at 33 weeks and she said between 5 & 6 lbs. Talk about crazy. No wonder I feel a little front heavy these days. She thinks the baby will be around 8 lbs at birth - a little bigger than I was hoping - which was a nice rounded off 7 lbs. We'll have to wait and see.

Here are a couple of recent pics of Casper and I and one of Brad, Casper and I this weekend at the BBQ Jess and Martin held.
Cheers! Karissa, Brad, Casper - 33 Weeks

First Post! - June 17th, 2006

Wow! I have to say a thank-you to my cousins Karin and Jason and my Uncle David. I was on Tegan's blog and saw links to Jason and David's blogs. I went and checked them out and found myself thinking "How cool is that! I need one too!". There is so much exciting news and things going on these days that I can't think of a better way to share and keep a log of everything.

So, let the adventures of the Soloy Family begin!!
