Pure Fun

Stan and Anita's 40th Wedding Anniversary Celebration

Our annual Pumpkin Patch trip. We got a few nice pumpkins this year and rode the train.

Rowyn's Show and Tell picture that we made to show her class. Rowyn picked all the leaves out herself, glued them on and placed them where she wanted.

Rowyn picked out some Blueberry dog treats for Khaos. They are her "special" treats that only SHE can give Khaos. He barely waits for her to get them out of the cupboard!

Picture right before bed time. Our girl is growing up! It's getting easier to see what she's going to look like at 10, 20 and even 30.....

Introducing Purple Princess Fancy Nancy (Rowyn's favourite book right now is Fancy Nancy and that's who she wanted to be for Halloween). Khaos just had to get in on the action too.

Falling into fall

While I'm hanging out waiting for my next conference call to start with Japan, I thought I'd take a few minutes to update our blog. Yes, it's been a while I know. I almost got to the point where I was so far behind and removed from posting that I almost didn't want to post another update.... but I miss it. And love looking back on earlier posts.
A two week stint in Austin Texas left me wondering where September went. One minutes we're on our last holiday days up North and then I'm leaving and flying south where it's hotter than our hottest day this summer.
Our swing set is 90% done. I don't think Soloy's get anything 100% done. There'd be no fun in it if everything was complete!
We had an amazing Tomatoe crop this year. Frost hit last week and of course I missed it by a day and all of our tomoatoes that were left were freezer burned. We did get our fill.
Rowyn's been hanging out at Gymnastics for the past month and a half. At first we weren't so sure she was going to like it. She didn't want to go into the gym. It was like that episode that you always dread as a Mom or Dad - child clinging to leg a little bit too tight and makes you wonder if your pants are going to rip or just fall down. It took until last week for her to be led in and her instructor to take her by the hand and no tears. She has a great time once she's in there. Bouncing around like a little bean, swinging like a monkey and scooting around and under obstacles. She really does like it. If she didn't I wouldn't send her in every week with the drama/trauma of getting her in there. We watch from the upstairs balcony while we sip on coffee and enjoy.
What else..... not sure... there is SO much that it all just blurs.
We celebrated Stan and Anita's 40th wedding anniversary. Friends, family = fun. Was really nice to catch up with everyone. It's been too long since we've spent time with family.
Halloween's coming! Rowyn informed me yesterday she wants to be "Fancy Nancy". Those that don't know, Fancy Nancy is a book. A very girlie, frilly, accessory driven, high heel, really cool "I love you" ending kind of book. She absolutely thinks Fancy Nancy is the best. So, she's going as Purple Princess Fancy Nancy with LOTS of Accessories - which is a fancy name for "bling"
Pics to come. I'm on my work notebook so don't have access to our pics.... Will post tomorrow while waiting for my next Asia call..... TTYL!
