Spring has arrived, or is maybe still coming

Whew! Have we made it into spring yet? I'm not so sure. I saw snow flakes yesterday. April 1st was a few days ago... the snow's timing is a little off for April Fools.
We've had an eventful March. I actually don't know where it's gone really. April IS going to bring us spring, I'm thinking positive. I'm looking forward to trying my thumb at gardening (again) this year. I saw these cute little gardening gloves yesterday that would fit Rowyn. I'm going back to pick them up. We're going to plant a VERY small garden this year. I seem to get all excited about spring and planting flowers but my enthusiasm seems to wane and everything gets a little crispy or overgrown by mid summer. My intentions are good anyway. I want to try our hand at Green and Red peppers, some peas or beans maybe and carrots, dill, green onions and maybe parsley? And a small herb garden too. I'm trying to think of what else we can plant that doesn't spread too much - would like cucs and pumpkins but know what they're like. Will keep you posted on how this goes... oh and tomatoes - Rowyn's fav.
We're back in swimming lessons again. This is the last lesson with a parent. Rowyn has been asking to go swimming since we finished so we registered for the next level. After this it's all her by herself. I think we'll wait for the fall for that. We have all summer to practise what we know now. She's loving it. Maybe not when the teacher comes up to her and asks her to do something (our teacher this session is a guy so you can imagine... she just either looks at him with a blank stare or turns around and ignores him. I try not to laugh
Brad brought home a little bike for Rowyn last year. We've been hiding it out in the shed until this spring. Two weekends ago Brad fanagled some training wheels and worked his magic modifying them to fit and abracadabra we have a bike that she can ride. Rowyn was super excited about putting her helmet on and getting on. We took her for a spin in our downstairs front hall. All went well so we got our coats on and headed outside where our experience lasted until we got to the neighbours edge of their lawn. We've had a few more tries on the bike since and she's excited about it but I think the wheels are just a little too hard for her to push and get them up and around.
We've gone through Brad loosing his job, and finding another one in 17 hours, we've gone through Brad and I with strep throat (antibiotics are a wonderful invention), I'm off to Austin again next weekend (the Easter bunny is coming a day early - thank goodness Rowyn's still a little young to understand days of the week and the Easter bunny comes on Sunday's), I'm back running 3 days a week and have even got Brad out there! All four of us have gone running a few times. Me with Rowyn and Khaos and Brad. Love it! After I get back from Austin I'm rushing to get ready for Jess's Bridal Shower we're hosting, then Brad's gearing up for his spring ride in the next two weeks. Spring is in full swing here!
We've noticed some hilarious language coming out of Rowyn these days. We just poke each other or roll our eyes - discreetly of course - when we hear some of it. No profanity or anything but it's funny to hear everything that you say to her repeated to Bobo, Barbie, Lilly and Julieanna. I'll see Rowyn brushing Barbie's hair and hear her telling Barbie to "Hold Still" and "you look cute now" or I'll hear her tell BoBo that it's "not time yet - 5 more minutes". She told me that Elmo was her Favourite. She's starting to use bigger words, in sentences. Some of the things make me laugh. Brad obviously closes the door when he uses the bathroom so guess who wants the door closed too? I'm not allowed to "tuck" Rowyn into bed - although I can put her to bed just not tuck in the covers around her because "only daddy can tuck me in". Brad's not allowed to sing "you are my sunshine" song because "only Mommy sings it". Things like that give us such a jolt - in a good way.
We're looking forward to the Zoo, to our first camping outing, to swimming at the beach, to bike riding all over town, going up north as much as possible, entertaining outside, and hanging out in the sunshine as much as possible.
Oh - and we're anxiously awaiting Babies - Baby Soloy and Baby Theil to make their entrance into the world!

Daddy's Girl eating Sugared donuts. Ummm yeah. Brad bought the CLUB sized box of donuts and managed to get them past me in the grocery line.

Adjusting the seat....

Climbing on

Who's more excited here?

And Going for it!

Our outside experience that lasted maybe 2 min

I took Rowyn to the mall the day the Easter Bunny came. She was SO excited to get her face painted and get her picture done with the Easter bunny until it came time to sit on his lap. The poor guy, the last 4 kids before Rowyn ended up crying and walking away too. Maybe next year.

Then we went to Auntie's house for a Pizza dinner
