She's Here! Introducing Rowyn

YAY!!!
Rowyn made her appearance early on July 30th at 11:02 a.m. weighing in at 7.5 lbs. and 21 inches long. She's in perfect health.

How was the labour you ask?
Labour started at 5:00 a.m. in the morning on July 29th with my water breaking in bed. I was having some mild cramping and decided to turn over and watch the clock and that's when my water broke. At 2:00 p.m. we called the midwife who was already at the hospital and said to come on in and get checked out. We went over but unfortunately the midwife couldn't confirm that my water had broken and I was still only 1 cm dilated. She said it could be tonight or a week from then that I go into labour. Needless to say I was a little disappointed. So home we went.
By 10:00 p.m. that night my contractions were stronger (a lot stronger) and things were about 6-12 minutes apart. I climbed into the bathtub where I laboured there until 12:30 when my contractions were 4-5 minutes apart and Brad called the midwife. We were going back to the hospital at 2:00 a.m. and looking like we wouldn't be coming home!
The ride to the hospital - lets just say it wasn't good. By the time we got to the labour and delivery floor I was thankful to be in the hospital. The midwife confirmed my water had broken and we were transferred to our room. Nice room too! Brand new and pretty big - but right at the end of the LONG hall which I had to waddle down.
I laboured in the tub at the hospital and about 6:00 a.m. I was 4-5 cm dilated and TIRED! It had been over 24 hours at this point. Enter in the Anesthesiologist with the edpidural to save the day! An hour and a half later and a power nap and I was ready to push. 2 hours after that we had our baby girl! Brad was able to cut the cord.
Brad was the epitomy of strength and support through the entire process. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Take a look at her! More pics soon
