First Visit to the Park

My little girl is officially a big girl. In the last few days I've taken a better look at her and realized that she's not such a little infant anymore. She's moving like a toddler, has an opinion like a toddler and is even eating like a toddler. I don't know where the last 9 months have gone. Rowyn has been out in this world for as long as she was inside. Her 9 month birthday is next weekend. The weather this weekend reminded me so much of the first few weeks when Rowyn was born. Constantly worrying about whether she's too hot or too cold. I don't remember how to dress her! Unfortunately I think she's a little on the hot side. Her room is a toasty 29 degrees Celsius and she's in jammies and a bunting bag. Her fan is on and we have the fan on the furnace going to help cool down her room. My worry is later on when the sun goes down. It's still pretty cold throughout the night and I don't want her to be cold. That's not an unreasonable thing right?!

The other day Brad was playing with Rowyn making funny faces at her and she was laughing hysterically at him. In the past we would have to touch or tickle her to get a laugh but she thought Brad was the funniest thing ever. This went on for a good 10 minutes. Why don't we have a video with sound again?

Rowyn is into eating grapes (in her mesh teething thing), little rice puffs, bananas all mushed up, peas are finally OK and carrots are a give or take. Raspberries and blueberries are a big hit. I tried to give her some plain yogurt today and her face said it all - a no go. I'll try again in a few days.

Kathleen, Carolyn and I took the kids to the park to sit on the swings for the first time on Friday. I think the whole world was at the park. We had to wait our turn for the swings to be free. Rowyn loved being pushed on them. Lots of smiles and giggles. The hat I tied to her head she didn't love and kept trying to pull it off. Her poor sparkles (hearing aids) got the brunt of the abuse with the hat antics.

We bought Rowyn a little kiddie pool this weekend. We bought one that is tougher plastic so big bro Khaos won't rip it the first day Rowyn goes in it (because we all know that Khaos will want to play in there too).

Nothing beats the green fish. She still loves that thing!
