Is Christmas Here?

We survived Halloween and quickly jumped into all things Christmas. We've been talking about decorating, counting down the days until Christmas, and Rowyn's asking "Is Santa here yet?". We were pleasantly surprised one day when we were talking about Santa and Rowyn mentioned that Santa eats cookies and drinks milk and we have to put them on our special Santa plate and leave them out for him and in the morning they'll be gone. I can't believe she remembers that from last year! We did all that but never thought that she'd actually remember. Just goes to show that kids remember everything!
Rowyn's getting into the "testing" stage. We've had several "discussion" about listening and not saying "NO" every time she doesn't like something.
Rowyn's been taking Gymnastics these last few months. She really likes it but still has trouble walking into the gym withouth me handing her off to her coach. She loves it though. We've been practicing summersaults in the living room. And OH MY I'm getting old! I haven't done one of those in years and of course Rowyn wants to see me do it first. I put a lot of pillows under my head just in case. I'm dreading the day when she asks me to show her how do to a cartwheel. I'm going to end up breaking myself it two I think! Up next on the agenda is swimming. We're trying to talk to Rowyn about it and prepare her for going into the pool all by herself without Mom and Dad. The next level she has to complete is without parent. Knowing Rowyn, this may end up a bust but she seems excited about it. I told her that she needs to walk into Gymnastics all by herself and if she can do that, then I'll sign her up for swimming. I'm hoping this makes sense to her and we can overcome this and have her swim.

I've been trying to keep Christmas talk to a minimum. Though Tegan keeps adding toys to her list with every commercial she sees. Dec 1 - I'll break out the advent calendar and then let the season begin!
