Get Together & Sleepovers

This past weekend we had Jai and Lauren's get together to celebrate their wedding. We had the entire family to Anita and Stan's house for a day of visiting and food. Rowyn was able to see her cousin Ty again and they were able to catch up and visit some more.
I was amazed to see how much bigger Rowyn is now next to Ty. The last picture we have of the two of them Rowyn was SO much smaller than Ty. Ty was as old is Rowyn is now that last time we saw him. I remember saying to Megan that I can't wait for Rowyn to smile and be awake as long as Ty. Now the time has flown by and we're here. Now I look at Ty and think - wow I can't wait for Rowyn to be even more active. The day went so quickly and we have so much more visiting to do. Thanksgiving should give us time to play more.

Sleepover
Rowyn had her first sleep over at Grandma Kathy's house on Saturday night. Brad and I had a wedding reception to go to and we had planned for Rowyn to stay with my mom. I was a little nervous at leaving her but excited at the same time. Grandma on the other hand was wondering why she couldn't have Rowyn for Friday AND Saturday night. We dropped Rowyn off at about 8:00 p.m. and I fed her for the last time and Brad and I headed out. I got less sleep that night than if Rowyn was here! I woke in the morning and called my Mom to learn that Rowyn had made out perfectly without her Mummy (sigh). She slept from 10:30 - 5:30 and was all smiles for Grandma and took her bottle no problem (sigh again). I makes me feel great to know that she doesn't have any problems being away from me for a bit. It's Mummy that has to work on being away from Rowyn. Grandma said they had a great time playing and giggling.

Rowyn is (mostly) sleeping from about 10:30 - around 5:00 every night. Then she has a snack and goes right back to sleep until around 7:30 - 8:00. I can actually function with this much sleep. It's amazing to see her grow and take on challenges like sleeping longer at night and being awake longer during the day. The smiles are more frequent and the giggle is the best.
