Is It Spring Yet?

Well, the reason that I haven't written in a while is because there isn't that much new these days.
Swimming is almost over. We have one more week to go. This week we let the babies "swim" on their own. The instructor dunked them under and gave them a push and they were scooped up by Mummy on the other side. Rowyn didn't cry, but she didn't seem too impressed either. Grandma Anita and I are going to continue to go to the pool once a week or so to keep Rowyn interested and familiar with the water. Rowyn likes the tot pool which sits at a balmy 90 degrees. The main pool is colder at 83 and she sure tells you that she doesn't like it!
Rowyn is such a character these days. So smiley! She's starting to play strange though. Khaos, Rowyn and I walked over to Grandma Anita and Grandpa Stan's the other day so Stan could have a visit with Rowyn. Rowyn took one look at Stan and cried. I felt really bad. She did warm up to him once the toys were broken out and as long as she was sitting on the floor and Stan was standing on the other side of the room. We'll have to make sure we do more visits!
Sleeping is still funny. I'm finding this more humerous these days. Rowyn HATES naps. She fights them like crazy. Can you blame her though? I'd rather be up and playing toys and looking around and smiling. It's tough on Mummy though. I have to rock her to sleep for naps or she just carries on and plays in her crib for hours. No crying - just playing. Rocking - anywhere from 2-5 minutes and she's out... for a few short minutes (usually 40 minutes). That gives me just enough time to go to the bathroom, have a shower, and brush my teeth. Whew! Now I know why alot of Mummys where jogging pants and don't do their hair and makeup. Who has time?! One thing keeping my sanity is Rowyn's sleeping at night. She's pretty good. I don't want to jinx things, but bed time is now 6:30 p.m. and she usually wakes up between 7 and 7:30 a.m. with a few wake ups in the night just for a pat and a cuddle. I know 6:30 p.m. is a little early but when you only get two naps a day of 40 minutes each bed time needs to be early. I just feel bad for Brad 'cause he only gets about 15 minutes with her each day. That will change I'm sure when Rowyn decides to mix things up again.
Rowyn is a tummy sleeper! I just about had heart failure when I found her sleeping on her tummy. You're "not suppose" to let them sleep there but what are you going to do when you find them sleeping peacefully and soundly on their tummies. After much discussion and worrying we decided that if she likes it there, she can stay there.

Tummy Sleeping. This is how I found Rowyn at 8:00 a.m. the first morning of Tummy Sleeping. Stopped my heart!

My heart started beating again.... wouldn't yours if you got to see this beautiful sight every morning?

Our Smiley Girl!

Grandpa Stan thought Rowyn needed a balloon. She loved it! I caught her playing with it more than once. She'd hang onto the end of the string and shake it up and down and all around!
