Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Andy had Rowyn and Khaos for the night. I was a little hesitant at leaving her (what mom isn't?). Rowyn is still breastfeeding and she would be using the sippy cup for the weekend. We hadn't practiced with the cup in a few weeks. This was going to be a test of wills and I hoped that Grandma would win.
I called home only twice. When I did call, I didn't hear any screaming or crying. I just heard laughing and singing. Rowyn was the model child. She took 6-7 oz. in her sippy cup each time, ate all her meals and even napped and slept through the night! I want to know what Grandma did to get her to sleep without even a peep from 6:30 - 6:30. That doesn't happen very often in our household!
Poor Grandpa Andy. Rowyn just didn't think it was a good idea for Grandpa to get too close - like even in the same room. Grandma had to put Rowyn's exersaucer in the kitchen and Grandpa had to stay in the living room. If Grandpa even so much as looked at Rowyn she started to cry. Needless to say, she's making strange with men. Some women and mostly strange women, but men seem to be the "bad guys" right now. I think Brad would be ok with that until she turned 25.
Rowyn seems to be understanding little things these days. We've known for a while that she knows who Khaos is and will look for him if I mention his name. She also knows "sit up". If I tell her to sit up she'll try and actually sit up. We haven't got to the point where she can sit up on her own but she's trying! No crawling yet but she is getting frustrated at not being able to reach her toys when she wants them so I'm anticipating soon.
Let's see, what else.... not too much else is new here. I'll post again soon.
