First off, Rowyn MUST have known that I wanted her to have a good nap because it took her an hour and a half to calm down and fall asleep. Then she proceeded to sleep half the party away! I tell ya. I will be jumping for joy when the time comes where she won't need to nap anymore.
So, the party. 4 little ones speeding around our house plus 8 adults was quite the adventure yesterday. They played on the swing and with the cool water stand and with every single toy in the house. We had a great time. I really enjoyed seeing all the kids play and having a good time.
Here are some pics.....
Hayden, Grace, Rowyn, and Nathan. All having a great time in Rowyn's Dora Play Station
Rowyn eating her first cupcake!
She's getting into it... and sharing with Grace
Gotta have some water to wash it down!
The Mummy's and Daddy's
Here is a new pic of Rowyn eating some cereal like a big girl. What a big girl she is these days. She understands so much now. She understands when I tell her to sit on her bum, she shares food with me, she'll give me a toy if I ask her, she'll find her "Bo-Bo" and "Winks" and probably knows even more than I think. Every day she's just amazing. Her napping continues to be an issue. We're down to one nap, but VERY grudgingly does she go down. When she does, it's a guessing game a to how long it will be. It's so hard right now as I feel like I'm guessing when to put her down and if she'll need it and if she's getting enough sleep. Right now Rowyn is protesting LOUDLY about being in her crib. She has a blankey but keeps throwing it out. I go in a couple of times to give it to her again but it's a game - one that doesn't stop so eventually we just forget about it and she protests. What can you do?
Rowyn is very into giving kisses and hugs these days. She'll lean in, open her mouth and wait for her kiss. It's very wet and goopy but the best thing in the world. She wants lots of kisses. Once she starts she doesn't really stop. Same with sharing food. She wants to give you pieces of her mushed up, squished up banana, her gross sucked on pieces of cereal, and half chewed pieces of chicken. We try and pretend to take it, but she just keeps holding it out there for you - YUM
