Our Adventures: More adventures!

Rowyn is doing much better. She's hardly coughing any more and is mostly back to her regular self. We go back to the Pediatirician on Wednesday and I'm hoping she gets a clean bill of health. No more inhalers or antibiotics.

The past couple of days has been pretty eventful. We started giving Rowyn Rice Cereal! I decided to try a little bit to see what she'd do with it. She's so interested in what we're eating all the time and is bringing everything to her mouth like she wants to eat is so I thought why not? I mixed up the cereal and gave her a little bit on a spoon. What a hoot! She took it right away. I loaded more on a spoon and she leaned forward in her high chair and opened her mouth and was waiting for it. This continued through the entire meal. I couldn't get it in her fast enough. When I took the spoon out of her mouth she started to cry. I loaded more on the spoon and brought it to her mouth and she stopped crying and gobbled up the cereal. Took the spoon out and she cried. Our little lamb loved it! We've since been giving her cereal every day. She's a good eater!

Sippy cup update - we're making slow but steady progress. Brad is the sippy cup master. He gave her some two evenings in a row now. First night I put 3 oz. in the cup. She took all but one ounze. I was impressed and encouraged. Today I decided to put in 4 oz. She took the entire thing in 5 minutes flat! Brad said she sucked it down right away. I of course wasn't anywhere near the two of them to see this but sure enough the cup was empty. Tomorrow 5 oz..... Once we get to 6 oz. this is pretty much an entire meal and I won't have to top her up.

Rowyn has made a huge leap forward sitting up. Last week she was pretty wobbly sitting up and you had to hold her and keep her from falling. Today she's improved so much! I barley had to hold her or catch her from falling over. Of course I'm right there and really can't leave as she will fall or start leaning towards one side and need a little support to get back up straight. I can't believe how well she's doing and with such little support. Everything is happening so quick. All of these huge new things all at once. Now if we can only get her to sleep without being swaddled.... All in good time I hope.
