The adventures of little lamb

Nicole came to visit Rowyn on the weekend. Look how cute and grown up they are! The first time Rowyn met Nicole she was a little wee thing that couldn't even move her head from side to side and stay awake longer than 30 minutes. Now she's sharing her toys with Nicole - ok Nicole was doing most of the sharing and Rowyn was doing most of the toy hogging!

Isn't she just too cute! Several shots of Rowyn sitting up like a big girl all by herself. She definately likes an audience. Rowyn plays on her own well with her giraff, her rattle, links, ball, soother, exersaucer, but when she sees one of us looking at her she brakes into a big smile and puts on a show for us. She loves to tell stories. She's very vocal and lets you know what she needs and wants. She's right this minute trying to get my attention as she's pushed all of her toys too far away from her and she can't reach them. Can't wait for the words!

Daddy Moments.

Does Rowyn look like Brad? Not sure. She sure looks big now. There were times when people would generously bring Rowyn gifts and there would be a 9 month or 6 month outfit in there. I remember thinking - there's NO way she's ever going to fit into this for about a year! Now when I'm in the mall shopping for my girl I'm looking at 12-18 month outfits. Her legs are so long that the 6 and 9 month outfits are just to short. Looks like she has knickers on. That just won't do for our lamb! She definately takes after the Soloy side of the family (YAY!)

Super Rowyn has surfaced again only to fly higher and faster than before. Super Rowyn has escaped the evil Sleep Monster again! Hurray Rowyn!

Daddy had the opportunity to give Rowyn her lunch. Nothing like the combo of rice cereal lightly warmed with a side of purnes to round out lunch followed by a refreshing dose of breastmilk to wash it all down. YumMMYyyy!

Sleigh Ride! The Soloy family went out for a sleigh ride on the weekend. We finally have enough snow to take Rowyn in. We had a hard time keeping her propped up. She kept slipping further down in the sleigh. Next time we'll bring 2 pillows instead of one. Brad and I had a great time pulling Rowyn along. Rowyn on the other hand wasn't so sure. Her poor little arms were stuck straight out because of all the layers of clothes and blankets we put on her. I think she's wondering "What am I doing in this thing?"

Alright, a hint for the sleigh- put a belt around her to hold her up and THEN pile on the blankets (hee hee)- worth a try anyway.
I can't believe how big she is getting- just when I think time is slowing down I look at Rowyn and Nicole and realize WOW, it's gone out the window.
